Administration Services Office Building Retro-Commissioning
The project comprised a 25,000-square-foot two-story office building and student services center. The project scope of work included retro-commissioning the HVAC system.
Central Plant Installation and Upgrade
The project included the installation of a New Central Utilities Plant. The plant included equipment for the campus with an electric centrifugal chilled water system and a gas-fired boiler system for a heating hot water source for future campus expansion. A new four-story 65,000 square foot field house was also constructed at the end of the new football stadium.
District-Wide Energy Management System Consolidation and Upgrade
The Southwestern Community College District had four (4) campuses in southern California and each had a separate proprietary vendor’s Energy Management System. Alpers Engineering Group designed a consolidation of the existing Energy Management System that integrated the five (5) different systems with one operating software and commissioned the system from start to finish.
Math and Science Building Energy Audit
Our firm performed an energy audit on the math and science building. The total savings from the measures we provided was approximately half of the building’s total energy use or 50,000 kWh per month.
